Katherine Heigl, the actress of "Grey's Anatomy," has her mind about being raised in the "white bubble" and how this realisation has impacted how she parents her adopted multiracial children. The actress from "Firefly Lane" told the media that it didn't matter the color of her skin to her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister, she realised the distinction in the way people were treated by her. "I asked my sister, Meg, if she had been treated one way when she went walking around with our parents and a different way in the time she was by herself without them. Meg replied, "Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the time!' Heigl told her parents this made her realize how naive she had been. Her anger grew, and she decided to channel her anger into assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son who is married to her 13 year old husband, Josh Kelley. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is an Black 8-year-old girl was adopted by the couple in 2012.
