I was a gruelling 12 hour days cleaning floors and tearing down wallpaper with the baby on my back while the other babies were playing in the playpen. Ha! Ha! It all started to be clear, but was far from done. For this project I was ready to invest a significant amount of money and spend time searching for the perfect home. My three sons and me looked for treasures hidden going to estate sales in order to help keep my spending under control. It was a weekly tradition that we would stroll through garage and estate sales on Saturdays and Thursdays and purchase a variety of new and old pieces. I then spent my weekdays painting and sanding on our front lawn. The furniture I found looked like... This is when my passion to restore furniture started. Although our house was fully furnished, I could not quit. There was a spot in the market that I could sell my items. In the end, I accumulated more items that I had no idea what to do with and had outgrown the space. My house was transformed into a space in which I held open houses, where up 1000 people would be able to view the items on my first floor and purchase the items. Growing Days was founded in my own home. The business wasn't just thriving but I was growing my sweet family too. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own company and become a great mother. Growing Days seemed like the perfect fit. The year was 2013, and my beautiful daughter Nora came along our 4th kiddo. The direction of my business was great, but I had to take some time off. I made the decision to take a break to spend time in my home with my kids. That was exactly what I was looking for at the moment. After a few minutes, my phone began ringing. A lot of people contacted me for help about home improvement or decorating. Many of the people calling me came from people who came to my house at one of my furniture open houses. It wasn't long before I was managing a full-scale house renovation business. I began by taking clients one by one with a speed I felt comfortable with. If you'd have told me that this business of mine could become the basis of a television show that airs on the DIY Network I probably would have been astonished. It's true that I amused when I think of it.
