Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 in the Olympic contest. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was just six years old. In 1969 she was a participant at the Romanian Junior Games where she placed 13th. She won in 1970. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she took home 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and 1974 she was named the junior champion in all aspects. The athlete won four golds and one silver in the first competition of her senior level and was held in the year 1975. This was her first time that she competed as a senior. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman in history to dismount the parallel bars by using double backwards salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The journey into the entertainment industry began during her teen years when she began doing figure skating along with her sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. She started her career as a the figure skater who performed with her sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. They had ice-skating performances that included staged performances.
